This policy covers the landing site eldmyr.world and the beta application. The game app play.eldmyr.world has its own, more detailed privacy policy.

Data we process

When you apply for beta access we process the data you provide in the form: email address, an optional name and the message you write. To protect the form against spam we store your IP address only as a salted hash (not in plain text) together with your browser string, and we use captcha verification (hCaptcha). If you voluntarily opt in to product updates, we also record your choice together with the time, source and current policy version as evidence of consent.

  • Handling your application and contacting you about the beta — legitimate interest and steps prior to a contract.
  • Sending product updates about Eldmyr, new adventures and upcoming releases — your voluntary consent. Your choice does not affect your beta application.
  • Spam and abuse protection (hashed IP + captcha) — legitimate interest.

You may withdraw your consent at any time through the unsubscribe link in every marketing email or by contacting info@eldmyr.world. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of messages sent before it.

Web analytics

The site uses Matomo for anonymised visitor statistics. We do not use the statistics to identify individual visitors and do not share it for advertising purposes.

X advertising pixel

The site loads the X advertising pixel (formerly Twitter) to measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns on X and to attribute beta sign-ups to those campaigns. The pixel sets and reads X marketing identifiers in your browser and shares them with X (X Corp.). See X’s privacy policy for details.

Recipients

We use trusted providers that process data on our behalf: Supabase (receives and stores applications) and Resend (sending email). Application data is not shared with third parties for their own marketing.

Retention

Applications are kept for as long as needed to run the beta programme and are deleted when no longer relevant. If you become a beta tester, further processing moves to the game app’s privacy policy. Product-update data is processed until you withdraw consent. We then retain only the information needed to honour your opt-out and, for the necessary period, show that consent was handled correctly.

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction and to object to processing. Contact info@eldmyr.world. You may also lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
